Nametwin and I last Saturday went to a park about an hour south of us, one neither of us had ever hit before. We're rich in parks in this area, but even so the same ones get tired. You get used to seeing the same things over and over and it almost blurs. The really pretty things aren't as pretty anymore just because you've seen them a hundred times. Going to new ones not only lets you see new things, but helps the old ones take a break which eventually bring back some of their beauty.
We missed the peak of the fall colors by probably about a week, but there was still plenty of color out there. Saturday was also the first time I was really able to take the time and play with settings on my camera, too. We talked and goofed around and ate at one of our favorite local restaurants, enjoying the seasonably warm day and being able to get out of our immediate area for the afternoon was a nice change of scenery.
I think maybe this spring and definitely next fall, this location calls for a faerie photoshoot. What do you think?
